Professional astrologer to speak at Community of Women Luncheon June 6

The Community of Women business referral group will host Jyoti Devi Charlotte Benson, a professional astrologer, from 11:30 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, at Mimi’s Cafe, 2800 W. Chandler Blvd. In Chandler.

The talk is free to members and $20 for guests. Guests are encouraged to sign up early at www.communityofwomen.org.

Benson is an expert in Vedic astrology which is described as a celestial blueprint that provides insights into the cosmic influences that shape a person’s destiny. Throughout her career she has served as a consultant to universities, police departments, municipalities, politicians and government figures, television and radio stations, professional sports franchises and figures, and Fortune 500 companies, according to a release.

“Charlotte is a gifted astrologer and public speaker,” Lena Morrissey, president and founder of Community of Women, said in the release. “She is uniquely qualified as a Vedic astrologer and our members and guests are looking forward to the insights she will be sharing with us.”

Benson first earned a professional diploma from the American Federation of Astrologers, in Western astrology, in the 1970s. She has practiced astrology as a career since 1972. The International Society for Astrological Research has granted her “certified astrological professional” status.

Jyotish Prabhakara Benson cites her proudest achievement as earning the title “Jyotisha Ratna” through the American College of Vedic Astrology. She is a charter member and five-term president (president emerita) of the Arizona Society of Astrologers and the president (and first woman president) of the American College of Vedic Astrology, the release states.
