Master-planned community Bella Storia will go ahead with a slight wrinkle in its original plans.
Gilbert Town Council unanimously approved on Sept. 24 a minor planned area development amendment to shift single-family zoning for the project at the northwest corner of Williams Field and Power roads.
The shift was done for better alignment in the project layout and engineering efficiency, said Keith Newman, a senior planner for the town.
To accomplish it, the amendment allow for slight boundary adjustment, but it will not change the overall acreage of the project, which is 32.19 acres of residential property and 76.44 acres overall.
Bella Storia has a variety of housing options, including single-family detached and single family attached homes. It includes 229 lots with floor plans ranging in size from 1,300 to 2,554 square feet.
The project in Gilbert's Gateway Character Area also has a commercial component to service residents.
Newman also discussed the phasing plan with landscaping and right-of-way improvements deferred to later phases.
