Dragsters, funny cars, more in Chandler this weekend

Firebird Motorsports Park in Chandler hosts the Firebird Fall Shootout races this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18 and 19, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Top alcohol dragsters, top alcohol funny cars, jet cars and bracket racers will all be included.

Racer gates open Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Spectator gates open Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m.

Alcohol qualifying is Friday at 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m and 9:30 p.m. Eliminations start Saturday at 5:30 p.m., with the national anthem/invocation and then the alcohol dragsters first round to follow.

Bring ear plugs for the loud vehicles. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here.
