Chandler's Creative Expresssion Contest deadline is Nov. 1

Chandler’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division is currently accepting entries for its annual Creative Expression Competition.

Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 and reflect this year’s theme: “Inclusion is our Superpower."

Students living in or attending a K-12 school in Chandler are eligible to enter. Visual art entries or one-page written essays will be accepted.

Submission guidelines, judging criteria and entry forms are available online at chandleraz.gov/CreativeExpression.

Submissions, along with a completed entry form, may be submitted in person at these locations:

• Chandler City Hall: 175 S. Arizona Ave.

• Basha Library: 5990 S. Val Vista Drive

• Downtown Library: 22 S. Delaware St.

• Hamilton Library: 3700 S. Arizona Ave.

• Sunset Library: 4930 W. Ray Road

Entry forms also will be available at every dropoff location. Chandler City Hall is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and library hours are available on the Library website.

All entries will be displayed at one of the Chandler Public Libraries for the month of December. Winners will be notified no later than Jan. 6 and will be invited to receive their small prize on stage at the 30th Annual Chandler Multicultural Festival on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park.
