Chandler senior residents who are feeling overwhelmed with how to use laptops, cell phones or tablets can mark their calendars for a free help event.

The Golden Neighbors Technology Tips event is Thursday, Oct. 17,  9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center, 249 E. Chicago Street in downtown Chandler.

Even the tech-savvy could come away with a new tip. Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program is partnering with SeniorTechPal, a nonprofit created to help seniors understand how to use technology from this event. Experts will review tips and tricks and answer  "How do I..." tech questions.

Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops, cell phones or iPads or other tablets.

A light breakfast will be provided. Interested attendees should RSVP to the city’s Neighborhood Programs Office at 480-782-4362, by email at neighborhood.programs@chandleraz.gov or online at chandleraz.gov/GoldenNeighbors.

We invite our readers to submit their civil comments on this topic.  Email AZOpinions@iniusa.org
