Music lovers will be treated to a special evening of exquisite guitar artistry and rare exotic instruments on Thursday, Oct. 17 as Sedona musician Patrick Ki appears in concert at the Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church,15820 W. Clearview Blvd.
The concert is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m. The cost is $10.
The concert is preceded with a meet and greet the artist social time and a Hawaiian refreshing drink on the patios and in the Fellowship Hall from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
A highly acclaimed musician in the Southwest, Ki is known for exceptional guitar talents, which cover a wide variety of genres. From popular classics (by legendary groups like The Beatles, Eagles and Led Zeppelin) to current favorites (such as Ed Sheeran, John Legend and Jason Mraz), Ki always shines with a unique musical charm.
Originally from the Hawaiian Islands, Ki was awarded several musical scholarships to receive formal training and education in Boston and Los Angeles. He has recorded nine CDs of instrumental guitar and been featured in both Guitar magazine and Guitar Player magazine.
His musicality renders his technique invisible so that the listener gets pure melody, harmony and rhythm, and a sense of wonder as to how easily he connects on all levels.
As an added bonus, Ki will be featuring his music performed on his collection of rare and exotic guitars. These include harp guitar, 18-stringed double-neck acoustic guitar, 15-string contra guitar, eight-stringed harp ukulele, Brazilian craviola, 24-stringed European L’aigion and the South American charango.
With fascinating insights and witty storytelling interwoven between Ki’s warm playing, you’ll want to attend this musical, fun experience.
