Drug information sessions coming to Surprise high schools

The Dysart Unified School District invited parents and community members to attend a drug information night, where attendees can learn about the misconceptions and risks associated with drug use, including alcohol, marijuana, vaping and fentanyl.
Drug Information Nights are free and will be held at each high school within Dysart on the following dates:
Monday, Sept. 30 (Willow Canyon, 17901 W. Lundberg St.);
Wednesday, Oct. 2 (Valley Vista, 15550 N. Parkview Place);
Tuesday, Oct. 8 (Shadow Ridge, 10909 N. Perryville Road);
and Monday, Oct. 21 (Dysart High, 11425 N. Dysart Road, El Mirage).
Information will be shared about health risks as well as potential legal ramifications and resources where individuals can receive support.
Additionally, parents can learn about warning signs to watch for and come away with information they can use in conversations with their students.
