Surprise has partnered with Ottawa University-Arizona to invite youth ages 8 to 13 to step into the spotlight and embrace their theatrical dreams at theater camp.

Whether you’re an experienced performer or a newcomer to the stage, the city’s two-week camp is the ultimate destination for all things dramatic. Join a vibrant community of young theater enthusiasts and dive headfirst into the exhilarating world of performance.

The camp is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays from July 15 through 26 at the OUAZ Student Union, Upstairs Room 212.

Classes on July 25 and 26 will be held at Willow Canyon Performing Arts Center.

The deadline to register for the camp is Thursday, July 11.

Throughout the camp participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to enhance their theatrical skills.

From acting workshops to dance sessions and vocal training, each day will be packed with opportunities to learn, grow and have fun.

The grand finale will be a spectacular performance at Willow Canyon auditorium, where campers will take the stage and shine in front of family and friends. Participants will act out beloved fairytale characters for an epic courtroom showdown that promises to have audiences laughing in their seats.

Space is limited. For more information and to register, visit surpriseaz.gov/SurpriseRec and click “Special Interest Classes,” or call 623-222-2249.
