Board picked for combined Rotary in Surprise, Sun City West

Areas join forces, appoint new group leaders

The newly combined Rotary Club of Surprise and Sun City West announced the appointment of its new Foundation Board for the 2024-25 term.

The new Foundation Board officers include President Michael Byers, Vice President Pamela Kohnen, Treasurer Ken Mueldener and Secretary Jesus Hernandez.

The 10-member board also includes directors Dick Stuckey, Ron Klaphake, Brian Laurie, Jack Braly, Gerald Nosotti and Sally Williamson.

“We are excited to welcome our new Foundation Board,” club President Tracy Sawyer-Sinkbeil said. “These esteemed individuals bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for service. They will play an integral role in guiding our club’s philanthropic and community outreach efforts.”

The newly appointed leaders are set to continue the club’s mission of “Service Above Self” by leading efforts to support local and international community projects, charitable initiatives, and educational programs.

Rotary Club of Surprise and Sun City West has provided scholarships, supported other local nonprofits and participated in global humanitarian initiatives. With the new Foundation Board in place, the club said it looks forward to an even brighter future of service and impact.

The Rotary Club of Surprise and Sun City West is part of Rotary International. It meets at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays inside the Colonnade Retirement Community, 19116 N. Colonnade Way.
