Benevilla hosting scams workshop in Surprise

Avoiding costly mistakes will be highlight of Oct. 15 event

Benevilla announced a free, in-person workshop aimed at empowering community members with the knowledge to recognize and avoid scams.

Join Benevilla from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Benevilla main campus, 16752 N. Greasewood St.

This informative session will be led by Mia Brooks, branch manager at WaFd Bank, who will share valuable insights and practical tips on identifying different types of scams and protecting yourself and your loved ones from fraud.

Workshop highlights include the following:

  • Understand the latest scams affecting our community.
  • Learn effective strategies to avoid falling victim to fraud.
  • Participate in an engaging Q&A session with Brooks.
