The town of Queen Creek is hosting a pop-up teen event on Friday.
"LINK at the Annex" runs from 6-8 p.m. at the Queen Creek Recreation Annex, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.
Just for teens, the pop-up event provides them with a place to hang out, have some snacks and drinks, play lawn games, watch TV and listen to music. There will also be gaming setups.
Tonight’s event is the first of three scheduled for Fridays this month. The others will take place on July 12 and 19.
Meanwhile, teens in Queen Creek still have time to sign up for the Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee.
The committee provides teens with an opportunity to have their voices heard on the issues that are important to them. The program will launch in the fall.
To participate, students must meet the following criteria:
Be between 14 and 18 years of age and/or in grades 9-12
Be a Queen Creek resident
Submit an application of interest
Agree to participate in a variety of activities, including monthly group meetings
The deadline to apply is Monday, July 22. The application can be filled out at QueenCreekAZ.gov/Teens.
