A 31-year-old Queen Creek man has been indicted on charges of sexually exploiting a minor.

Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced the indictment of Cody Brett Weaver on Sept. 19, after a Maricopa County Grand Jury indicted him on three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a class two dangerous felony and dangerous crime against children.

In late April, the Queen Creek Police Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Weaver.

“The tip provided information regarding images and video depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor,” a press release from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office stated.

A search warrant was served at Weaver home and was subsequently arrested by QCPD in June and booked into jail.

A trial date has not been set.
