Meet Your Business: Williams & Co. Design

Posted

Williams & Co. Design is based in The Painted Tree in the West Chandler Boulevard shopping center anchored by Ross Dress for Less and T.J. Maxx.

Jennifer Williams says she’s a home decorator who helps homeowners elevate to levels of style and comfort. She works mainly by appointment, all over the Valley, in addition to operating the Chandler store.

Owner: Jennifer Williams

Age: 44

Business: Williams & Co Design

Town/Neighborhood: I live in Queen Creek and design all over the Valley. The store is in Chandler.

Hours of operation: The store’s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 a.m., seven days per week. Design is by appointment.

Personal background highlights: I grew up on an idyllic 8-acre farm, surrounded by the rustic charm of a 1910 farmhouse. My upbringing was enriched by the entrepreneurial spirit of my successful mother, who excelled in both commercial and residential real estate.

Following college, I delved into the intricacies of title and escrow work before embarking on a decade-long journey of running a home-based business. Throughout this time, I balanced my entrepreneurial endeavors with assisting my mother in her real estate ventures.

Professional background highlights: My journey began in the retail sector, where I honed my customer service skills and developed a knack for understanding individual preferences. However, it was my passion for real estate and design that ultimately led me to pursue a career as a realtor and designer and now store owner.

What I do: As a shop owner and designer, I curate and manage a retail space dedicated to home decor, fashion and gift with strong design elements. My expertise lies in selecting and showcasing a curated collection of items that transform houses into homes, drawing on my passion for making spaces beautiful and inviting.

My role involves not only running the day-to-day operations of the shop but also utilizing your keen eye for design to assist customers in creating personalized and aesthetically pleasing living spaces.

Whether it’s selecting furniture, choosing color palettes, or recommending decor accents, I provide guidance to clients seeking to elevate their homes to new levels of style and comfort.

What I like most about doing business here: The people.

Changes I’d like to see in this area: With the store opening, I’d like to make sure that everyone knows we have an online store as well as one on one design appointments.

What am I promoting: Williams & Co Design and new store opening at The Painted Tree-Chandler.

What I’m excited about and why: What I am most excited about, not only working for myself but the autonomy and freedom it provides. Being your own boss allows you to pursue your passions and make decisions that align with your vision.

Also, witnessing the joy and satisfaction of our customers when they find the perfect pieces for their homes brings you immense fulfillment. It’s the combination of creative independence and the ability to positively impact others’ lives that truly fuels my passion for entrepreneurship and design.

Favorite community cause and why: Anything pets.

Family: Husband, son and three “fur kids.”

Interests & hobbies: I work for myself. I like to bake, exercise, spend time with my family, travel.

People who inspire me (and how): 1000% my mom. She’s why we started this business together. She does not give up. She’s had a few health issues and really her winning attitude inspires me to be a better me.

Guiding philosophy: “Create spaces that inspire joy and comfort, while nurturing meaningful connections between people and their homes.”

Advice to today’s youth: Do it anyway. Don’t let the negative noise in…believe in your dream.

Why I chose to start this business: It has been a lifelong dream. It’s not yet complete.

How my business supports the community: The store creates community Engagement: it serves as a gathering place where community members can connect, share ideas, and seek advice on home design and decor.

This fosters a sense of belonging and strengthens community bonds. One day, we would love to host worships and educational opportunities.
