Wells Fargo employee dies in Tempe, investigation underway

Posted

A 60-year-old Wells Fargo employee was found dead inside the company’s corporate office in Tempe, with the latest timeline suggesting her body was there for four days before being discovered.

12News reported that Denise Prudhomme had scanned into work the morning of Aug. 16 at Wells Fargo’s office at 1150 W Washington St., but her body was not found by building security until Aug. 20 when a call to local authorities was made.

Tempe Police have said there is nothing suspicious about the death, but there are still many details about Prudhomme’s death that need to be confirmed.

Wells Fargo has released a media statement regarding the incident, expressing condolences to the employee’s family and sharing counseling resources for employees. The company is cooperating with the Tempe Police Department in its investigation and directs all further questions to the authorities.

It's been reported that the Tempe Police Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office are working to discover Prudhomme's cause of death.
