Pack a picnic dinner, grab a blanket and head over to Kiwanis Park to watch classic family-friendly movies under the stars as part of Tempe’s free movie series, Movies in the Park, which is back on the first four Friday nights in May.
Movies begin at dusk – approximately 7 p.m. – on the north soccer fields at Kiwanis Park, Baseline Road and Ash Avenue (just west of Mill Avenue), a city release explained.
Come early to reserve your spot and hang out with the Tempe Play Mobile for fun pre-movie activities.
On Friday, May 3, the city will be showing “The Little Mermaid” along with hosting a special "Summer of Fun Kickoff" event starting at 5 p.m.
Enjoy games and activities while learning about all the fun there is to explore in Tempe this summer. Check out booths from Tempe Community Arts, special interest recreation camps, Tempe Aquatics, Tempe Public Library, Tempe History Museum and Tempe Play Mobile, according to the release.
