Throughout the year, members of Scrapbooking, Papercrafts & More have endless opportunities to learn unique greeting card techniques and artistic projects that build on their existing skills and creativity.
Recently, member Lloydyne Vining taught participants how to make custom-fitted envelopes and gift boxes from designer paper and cardstock using a paper-crafting tool especially designed for these purposes. The tool belongs to the club and members may use the tool whenever they’re in the club room.
Members made envelopes that color coordinated with greeting cards they’d previously made and then, using cardstock, made designer gift boxes to hold the individual greeting cards sets. Tied with decorative ribbon, the card sets make beautiful hand-crafted gifts.
Learn how to make greeting cards, unique papercrafts and scrapbooks (traditional or digital) by joing SPAM in the Beardsley Center’s Agave Room on Wednesdays (5-9 p.m.), Thursdays (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), Fridays (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 a.m.-5 p.m.).
