The Mac-Cro-Knit Club is getting ready for its gala event of the summer, a pajama party including a root beer float and snacks 9 a.m. Aug. 15 in the Kuentz center, room 3. Pajamas and teddy bears are optional.
The club is also making plans for the fall/winter visitors.
Learn to knit or crochet or weave on a loom. No yarn is wasted and projects can be made with leftover yarn; member Mary Fox has taken donated crocheted squares and formed them into blankets.
Tools are sold by the club, which meets 8-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The general meeting is the second Thursday each month.
Call President Jeannette Hill at 815-347-2665 for more information.
