Linneborn: Still disagree with way fee was changed

I moved here in 2003, the year the Recreation Centers of Sun City board changed the annual property assessment from “individual” members to “household.”

It’s cheaper for couples to do this. So let the single homeowners make up the difference!

I joined a group that was protesting this unfair fee for almost four years. We attended the meetings to voice our concern. We started to get ignored.

Anne Stewart joined to help us; the board stopped her from attending all meetings.

Now the new homeowners are questioning these fees also.

As we are aging, some of us are not able to use the facilities. So keep the fee for the couples the same but be fair to us single homeowners. It is too hard for some of us to pay the fees.

Also, we thank the community for the food banks.
