Sun City man killed in Peoria traffic accident

Posted

A Sun City man was killed Monday when the motorcycle he was driving was involved in an accident with two other vehicles early in the afternoon.

Brian Radford, 52, died at the scene from injuries he sustained in the accident near Northern and 75th avenues about 12:15 p.m., according to Peoria Police.

Radford was traveling eastbound on Northern through the intersection, and police said a minivan was in the intersection going onto 75th from Northern. The collision occurred in the middle of the intersection.

The driver of the minivan, which came to rest in front of a car in the left-turn lane along 75th Avenue, was not injured and remained on the scene through the investigation, police said. The intersection was closed for most of the afternoon for the investigation.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
