Sun City church hosts picnic to ‘meet and greet’ new pastor

Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd., is hosting a “Picnic With the Pastor” for Lakeview members and interested residents 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in Smoot Hall.
New Lakeview Pastor Brandon Gilmore and his family are the honored guests for this meet and greet gathering. Deli sandwiches, potato salad, cole slaw, melon, chips, ice-cream cups and cookies will be served.
This event is open to the public and the church office will be accepting reservations through July 10. There will be no charge for the picnic, but a free-will offering will be taken.
