Sun City CAN thanks sponsor, urges lock boxes

Posted

Sun City Community Assistance Network would like to thank Long Realty West Valley and owner, Gordon Nichols, for underwriting the cost of our “Free Lock Box” program.

Long Realty paid to have eight of these  $70 fire department boxes installed on low-income Sun City houses during April and May.

The free fire department boxes are installed adjacent to the front door. Inside the box is a key to the front door, which allows fire department personnel to enter the residence in an emergency when the occupant is incapacitated.

The eligibility requirements for a free lock box are the applicant must be a full-time Sun City resident; have a monthly income less than $2,147 for a single occupant or $2,903 for two-person occupancy; and have savings, investments and IRA less than $13,300.

If you think that you qualify and would like to apply for a free lock box, call Sun City CAN at 623-933-7530 and make an appointment to meet with a benefits assistance counselor.
