New chorus forming in Sun City
Submitted photo/Linda Shirck
The new chorus is a collaborative effort between the Sun City Women’s Chorus and the Players Community Theater. They are working together to create a unique musical experience that blends choral music with theatrical elements.

A new mixed chorus is forming in Sun City and organizers are calling all singers to join the musical venture that will bring together vocalists from all backgrounds and create a vibrant community through the joy of singing.
Roy Spicer will take the helm as the artistic director of Sun City Sings! With a background in choral conducting and a passion for community music-making, Spicer is eager to lead this ensemble to new heights.
Sun City Sings! is welcoming singers of all voice parts: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. There is a particular need for male voices. Experienced choral singers and novices eager to learn are welcome. No auditions are required, though a commitment to regular attendance and a passion for singing are essential. Ability to read music is preferred.
The first rehearsal will take place 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the American Lutheran Church choir room, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd. Interested singers are encouraged to attend this organizational meeting.
