SUV hits, kills man crossing Glendale Avenue

A man died this weekend after being hit by an SUV as he was crossing Glendale Avenue, Phoenix police said.

The collision occurred just after 11 p.m. June 29 near 20th Avenue where police found the unidentified man suffering serious injuries. He died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.

Preliminary information indicates the man was walking outside of marked crosswalks, according to detectives.
