Rich Johnson passed away the morning of July 1st, 2024, at his home in Peoria, AZ surrounded by family, after battling his illness for nearly 3 years. Born in England on October 30th, 1965, as his father was in the army, and grew up in Spokane, WA. Rich worked as an Environmental Engineer and traveled all over. He later moved to Sacramento, CA, and met his wife there in 2004. They moved to Peoria, AZ in 2009 and were married 9/9/09 in Las Vegas, NV. Rich also worked as Security at the Cardinals Stadium and was able to experience many events held there Rich was a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks and NASCAR, rooting for 48 Jimmie Johnson. He was a Chevy guy and passionate about anything with an engine. He also enjoyed hiking, travel, music, and our family game nights. Rich will be remembered for his laid back and easy-going attitude, along with his incredible sense of humor. He was the type of guy who never met a stranger, and he would go out of his way to help anyone in any way he could. He was truly a one-of-a-kind person with a good heart, he will be deeply missed, and his laugh always remembered. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Betty Johnson, sister Judy Johnson, mother-in-law Barbara Bell, sister-in-law Tracey Bell, and brother-in-law Darren Bell. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Johnson, father-in-law Bruce Bell, sister-in-law Jodi and Mary, daughters Jenna and Davi, son Chase, son-in-law Jason and Jacob, daughter-in-law Victoria, and he was Papa Richy to grandchildren Bettie, Blake and Jack.
