It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherrill Gordon Box, who left us in August 2024 at her home in Sun City West, Arizona. Born on April 20, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sherrill was raised in Tooele, Utah, and spent her life making a positive impact on those around her.
Sherrill was a proud alumna of the University of Utah, where she played in both the marching band and the pep band. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and was very involved with the Young Republicans.
Sherrill was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Deryl Ace Box; as well as her mother Mary Higgins, her father Farrell Gordon (Margaret), her step father Louis Higgins, and her sister Suzanne McCormick. She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Box (Kay); her sisters Nicky Higgins, Lilian Weiland, and Carolyn Christopher.
Sherrill will be deeply missed but will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Rest in peace, Sherrill. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
