She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Survived by her husband Leonard Leapoldt; Three children, Billie Jean Steadman, Nancy Ann Anderson, and Mark Leapoldt; Four grand kids, Jolea Weatherspoon, Noah Weatherspoon, Jason Anderson and, Jennifer West; Five great-grandchildren Alex, Autumn, Tanner, Dalton and Abby.
She was always a loving wife. She had a special talent of taking care of lost, wayward souls. Many people came into our home and left a better person. May her soul live on.
She was married to Leonard Leapodlt June 25, 1960 in Jamestown, North Dakota and went to Huntington Beach, California where she lived and worked. She worked for North American Aviation, Space Division. She worked on the Saturn rocket while her husband also worked for the same company on the Apollo Space Craft, because John F. Kennedy said, “we’re going to the moon in this decade.”
In 1970 she moved to Colorado. There she worked for Storage Technology Corp. with many titles, Leader, Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer. She worked there until 1984.
In 1985 she got her Real Estate License and was part of a new Realty business called Sun Realty in Dacono, Co.
She retired in 1988 lived in Mazatlán, Mexico and Florida for several winters and finally ended up in Sun City, Arizona until her death.
She was very active playing golf, bowling while she was a member of Sun City Country Club. She was a member of Moose Lodge #2243 where she loved to play BINGO!
