Peoria is asking for input on Grand Avenue drainage improvement project

Posted

The city of Peoria is hosting a public engagement meeting for its 83rd, Peoria and Grand avenues drainage improvement project.

The city is evaluating the use and effectiveness of storm water storage and flood mitigation efforts in the area outlined in the accompanying map, to identify any improvements that would protect against a 10-year frequency storm event.

Residents are invited to an initial public meeting 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., next Thursday, Oct. 10, at Cheyenne Elementary School
Multi-Purpose Room – Cafeteria, 11806 North 87th Ave.

Residents who live in this area who have experienced flooding are also invited to fill out the survey and share any pictures of flooding through this link, https://peoriadrainageproject.com.

Your input will help shape the steps moving forward, officials said.
