Town Council, mayoral candidates forum coming up June 17

Update: Reduced parking available at Town Hall

Posted

A forum organized by the Paradise Valley Independent for town council and mayoral candidates running in the July 30 election is set for 4–6 p.m. June 17 at Town Hall.

The Independent recently learned there will be reduced parking available at Town Hall on June 17 because the lot is being resurfaced. Attendees must enter the parking lot from Invergordon Road and park in the spaces near there.  The spaces near the police department and the center aisle will be unavailable.

If residents cannot attend, a recording of the forum will be uploaded after.

In a Q&A format, candidates will answer questions about relevant issues to the town and attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions.

The town council and mayoral candidates will be presented separately on the same day. News Editor MacKenzie Brower will moderate the session.

“The Paradise Valley Independent will be running its own Q&A series with candidates leading up to the election because we want to facilitate an opportunity for voters to ask their own questions in a public forum and help voters be better informed before heading to the polls this summer,” Brower stated.
