Free PhxArt Family Funday this Sunday

Looking for something free to do with the whole family this weekend?

Come to PhxArt Family Funday, this Sunday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., to explore the newest modern + contemporary art installation, The Collection: 1960–now, as well as enjoy family-friendly performances, art activities and local food truck vendors, according to a social media post from the Phoenix Art Museum.

Event activites:

  • Practice sketching with Sketch Club Cafe
  • Collaborate on art-making installation Painting in Space inspired by artist Alexander Calder
  • Experiment with “Pop Collages” to make a collage in the style of ‘60s pop art
  • Play in the watercolor station in the garden
  • Listen to stories with Phoenix Public Library for early learners
  • Watch dance performances with BlakTinx Dance from eight Arizona-based choreographers
  • Watch a puppet performance Hotel Saguaro by The Great Arizona Puppet Theater
