Westgate hosts weekend concerts in Glendale

Westgate Entertainment District will play host to concerts Friday and Saturday night at Fountain Park, 6770 N. Sunrise Blvd.in Glendale.

The rest of the live music scheduke for June is:

  • From 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 14, Halloday plays live. The four-piece, Tempe-Based dreampop band that likes to venture into the realms of the shoegaze, post-punk, and goth music genres.
  • From 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 15, Jordan Thropay takes the stage. This singer/songwriter this inspiration primarily from Bryan Adams, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, and Luke Combs, featuring his acoustic guitar and vocals.
  • From 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 21 Velvet Road plays.
  • From 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 22, Come Back Buddy takes the audience back. This three- (and four-) piece rock ‘n’ roll band inspired by the legendary “Buddy Holly and the Crickets.” The group’s repertoire includes the music of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson and of course, Buddy Holly.
  • From 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 28 Grammy award nominee Richard Maxwell takes audiences on an immersive musical journey. His show combines rock, prog, world, ambient and jazz.
  • From 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 29 Viva Lost Wages offer a a selection of Elvis’s most popular songs. The band also plays classic rock, country and R&B.
