The Fountain Hills Medical Campus in the 16800 block of Palisades Boulevard was evacuated of staff and patients on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Fountain Hills Fire Department was called to the scene during the noon hour. There was a full contingent of firefighters on the scene including a Fort McDowell fire unit. A hazardous materials unit was reportedly called to the scene. Southwest Gas was called and was on the scene with manpower and equipment about 1:30 p.m.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to help close access to the area.
