Fountain Hills Theater presents new original musical

Fountain Hills Youth Theater has announced the first production of its 2024-25 season, “The Little Princess: Sara Crewe.”
“The Little Princess: Sara Crewe” is an original musical adaptation of the classic Frances Hodgson Burnett story about a young girl who is taken from her home in India and sent to a boarding school in England, according to a press release.
The story follows her struggles to adjust to her life in a new country and maintain her dignity and humanity through all her hardships.
This original musical is written by Ross Collins, with original music by Miciah Dodge and lyrics by Ross Collins and Miciah Dodge. It is produced by Kelsey Ruggaard, directed by Ross Collins, musically directed by Seikai Ishizuka and choreographed by Savannah Grottenthaler.
“The Little Princess: Sara Crewe” will play Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. from Sept. 27 to Oct. 6.
Fountain Hills Youth Theater is located at 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd. Ticket prices are $18 and group discounts are available.
Tickets are available through the theater box office at 480-837-9661 x3. Call for school field trip pricing and scheduling. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
