Fountain Hills: Sheriff’s call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District #7 substation based in Fountain Hills reported that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Sept. 12, and Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Thursday, Sept. 12

*A resident of the 17000 block of La Pasada Drive reported that an unknown, unauthorized subject withdrew funds from the victim’s bank account.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property traffic collision occurred in the parking lot of a business. No injuries were reported, one vehicle was towed from the scene.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. The driver was stopped for traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Friday, Sept. 13

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. The driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 62 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. A driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 78 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Sierra Madre Drive reported that the victim hired a dog sitter to watch their pets, but the dog sitter did not return the pets as arranged, and instead rehomed the animals.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a private property traffic collision occurred in the parking lot of a business. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where a minor was found in possession of a THC vape pen. Criminal charges have been submitted to the county attorney.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Kendall Drive reported that an unknown subject damaged a private residence belonging to the victim.

Saturday, Sept. 14

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject attempted to shoplift a large quantity of items from a business.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Tabasco Circle for a report of a domestic violence assault incident.

Sunday, Sept. 15

*A resident of the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported that an unknown subject stole a bicycle from the garage of a residence.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. after being contacted about a call for service. A check of records revealed a subject who was contacted during the call had a valid warrant out of the City of Mesa. The subject was arrested and turned over to Mesa PD.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Kendall Drive reported that an unknown subject broke the window of a vehicle while it was parked at a residence.

*A deputy was injured during a response to a call in the 16000 block of La Montana Drive. While attempting to take a subject into custody the subject assaulted a deputy by scratching the deputy to the point of bleeding.

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Regency Place. A subject was found trespassing in the fenced yard of a residence. Charges were submitted to the town attorney.

Monday, Sept. 16

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of La Montana Drive where a subject was found trespassing inside of a residence. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment. Criminal charges were submitted to the county attorney.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Arroyo Vista Drive reported a violation of a court order.

*A resident of the 16000 block of El Lago Blvd. reported that subjects were harassing the victim via social media.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

*A resident of the 14000 block of Prickly Pear Court reported that an unknown subject posed as a police officer and attempted to defraud the victim out of a large amount of money.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. where a subject was trespassed from a business after being asked to leave by management and refusing.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Salida Drive reported that a subject defrauded the victim of approximately $6,000 as part of a phone scam.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

*A resident of the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported that they believe an unknown subject stole cash out of her purse.
