Enjoy new barbecue event in Florence

Strap on the feed bag because Saturday marks the inaugural Pickin & Lickin BBQ Fest in Florence.

Several barbecue food trucks from around the area will be offering samples and full meals. There will also be merchandise vendors, activities for kids, beer gardens, live music and more.

The event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. at Canyon Moon Ranch, the home of Country Thunder, 20585 E. Water Way.

Pickin & Lickin BBQ Fest is being produced by Five20 Events and HK3 Production.

The event area will have a 100 foot by 200-foot shade structure to keep attendees cool.

The night’s entertainment will be headlined by a Waylon Jennings tribute show featuring Arizona musicians J. David Sloan and Vicki Ray Jordan.

Presale tickets are still available online https://five20events.ticketbud.com/pickin-lickin-bbq for $10. Tickets are $15 at the event. Kids 12 and under get in free.

Outside alcohol and food, weapons of any kind and shade tents are prohibited.
