Chandler Hamilton grad makes honor roll in Wyoming

Posted

Kayla Cunningham of Chandler made the University of Wyoming's Spring Semester President’s Honor Roll.

The President’s Honor Roll consists of regularly enrolled undergraduates who earned a 4.0 (“A”) grade-point average for the semester. To be eligible, students must have been enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours taken for letter grades.

Cunningham, a Hamilton High School alumna, is also a key senior-to-be on the Wyoming women's swim team, specializing in the individual medley and backstroke. She posted the team’s fastest 400-yard IM time at the 2024 Mountain West Conference Championships in February for the third year in a row.

She also registered a career-best time in the 200-yard IM this past season.

At Hamilton, Cunningham was a standout student and athlete, setting the school record in the 100 backstroke and placing third at state in the event.
