Chandler Chamber: Free 'Be a Better Business' summit Aug. 13

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce is helping put on a free daylong business event next month.

Learn the fundamentals of growing a business in the 21st century, including Amazon sales, setting up payroll, & managing government relations at the Be a Better Business Summit.

The summit will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center 249 E Chicago Street in Downtown Chandler. 

The free event will have lunch provided.

Here's the topics to be covered:

Session 1: “Network Better”: Finding new partners, identifying mentors, & making money the old-fashioned way: word-of-mouth.

Session 2: “Doing Business with the Government”: Contracting with the government and winning requests for proposals with city governments and state agencies.

Session 3: “Attracting & Retaining Talent”: Hiring strategies, employee rewards programs, & maintaining workplace morale.

Session 4: “Organizing Finances”: Bookkeeping, tracking business performance and financial decision-making.

Session 5: “Selling on Amazon”: Building your virtual Amazon storefront, advertising on Amazon and managing Amazon inventory.
