Chandler Chamber announces election endorsements

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce has announced 15 candidate endorsements, according to a news release.

Absentee ballots in Arizona will be mailed out Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The list of this fall’s endorsements has eight Republicans and three Democrats in the partisan races. Nine of the 15 endorsees are incumbents.

City council and school board elections in Arizona are technically nonpartisan.

The chamber said, in its news release, there was a “ rigorous and impartial deliberation process, where each candidate’s platform, experience, and dedication to promoting a thriving business environment were thoroughly assessed.”

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce has endorsed 15 candidates and has taken a position on a handful of ballot propositions.

The Chamber’s candidate endorsement process had several steps: a candidate questionnaire, endorsement interviews, a candidate forum, Chandler Chamber Good Government Committee official recommendations, Chandler Chamber Executive Committee review and Board of Directors final approval.

For every office except for Chandler City Council and CUSD Governing Board, there was only the first two questionnaire and interview steps.
To view the one-on-one candidate video interviews and the recorded candidate forums, visit the Chandler Chamber’s website, ChandlerChamber.com.
