Chandler, ADOT, MAG officials to discuss transportation issues Oct. 4

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce is  hosting an informational event as part of its policy impact series.

Featured speakers will tak about transportation issues.

This event is Friday, Oct. 4, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m, at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center, 249 E. Chicago Street, Downtown Chandler.

Learn much about Propostion 479  from Arizona Department of Transporation, city of Chandler and Maricopa Association of Governments officials or staff.

The ADOT contingent will address the Loop 202 transportation project.

The Maricopa Association of Governments (or (MAG) representation will share information on Propostion 479, which will extend transportation-funding sales tax collected now through Proposition 400 provisions.

That's one of many items  that will be on Nov. 5 ballots in Maricopa County.

City of Chandler representattives will share an update on municipal transportation projects.

The featured speakers will be announced closer to the event. Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke is the chair of the main committees for both MAG and the League of Arizona Cities and Towns.
