The Sonoran Sounds Women’s Chorale of the West Valley presented a Veterans’ Day concert to a packed house at the Forum at Desert Harbor, 13840 N. Desert Harbor Dr., in Peoria on Nov. 11.

The women, under the direction of Sun Joo Lee and accompanied by Jan Schaafsma, presented a program of familiar patriotic songs to the attentive audience. A number of residents and guests wore their military uniforms, hats or service ribbons and stood and joined the singing of their service song. Many residents spontaneously joined the chorale on, “God Bless America” and the “Star Spangled Banner.”

Sonoran Sounds Women’s Chorale of the West Valley are performing their 12th season.
