SCFMD gets new trucks, station

Looking good

Station 133 looks great as well. Congratulations on the improvements in the department! — Rich Gaun

Lining up

Who will the new engine go to? — Christopher Radoian

Pool heater repaired

Want to go back

I love this pool, swam laps during Memorial Day weekend. I’ll be back to visit in a week, staying in Sun City Grand. Is it possible to get a day pass?. — Denise McLaurin

Member or guest

Unless you are a member or associate member (tenant) here, the only way to use our facilities is to come as the guest of a member. — Recreation Centers of Sun City West

Not up to snuff

How many times does the heater on a pool that cost more than $4 million get fixed before a new heater is put in at the vendor’s cost? So far, it has been three times. It is ridiculous how many times the pool has been closed due to malfunctioning parts. PVC pipe used as the exhaust pipe from the heater? It was closed again to repair that debacle. We have a beautiful pool, but it appears we received sub par equipment. — Sharon Siegel

Such a reward

Shortly after the R.H. Johnson pool re-opened, the fountains went out — repeatedly. Then the heater went out. Then the pump wasn’t working. There have been several times something that was “not working” since the new pool was put in. — Shannon Morgan

Sheriff attends event

Preferred activity

I would rather Mr. Penzone spend his time trying to prosecute and put into action some animal cruelty laws in this state. Guess we’re going to have to wait another 15 years for something like that to happen. Sad to be an Arizonan. — Allyson Wonderland

Penzone supports Singletons

Sight for sore eyes

Wow, I finally saw Penzone doing something. — Bill Nas

Questionable effort

Gotta get money to pay those illegal aliens to testify. — Dan Feller

What else?

What if vegetarians wanted to support the Singletons? Is there a dish for us to order? — Julie Piontkowski

On the menu

Take a look at their website, there are plenty of ways to give back. — Maricopa Co. Sheriff’s Office

Weather getting cooler

On the way

Heading there soon! Can’t wait! — Eileen A. Guyton

Wait for change

Sounds great, but I’m a little afraid that it’s going to be a cold winter shaping up. — Andrew Bryant
