Costs go through the roof

A Peoria Unified School District internal investigation has begun to uncover why governing board members were not alerted to skyrocketing expenses of nearly $1.5 million for a project intended to house the district’s Medical, Engineering, Technology students. The building, which formerly housed the Arizona Challenger Space Center adjacent to Sunrise Mountain High School, will delay the expected move-in date of July 1.

Burglars apprehended

Thanks to the public and media partners, the Peoria Police Department on April 12 arrested two Mesa teens involved in a burglary.
