Colored pencil exhibit open at Peoria Art Gallery

An exhibit celebrating the Colored Pencil Society is coming to Peoria.

“Coloring Outside the Lines” takes place at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the Peoria City Hall Art Gallery, 8401 W. Monroe St.

The event starts with viewing the exhibit and meeting the artists at 3:30 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. presentation on experiencing the benefits of colored pencil as a fine art medium. This interactive presentation is an opportunity to learn and participate, and is free to public. The exhibit runs through Jan. 4.

The program is supported by the Peoria Arts Commission.

The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday.
