PHOENIX (AP) — Police say a man has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in a fatal stabbing in Phoenix.
They say 36-year-old Andrew Rivas has been booked into jail in connection with Sunday afternoon’s incident.
It was unclear Monday if Rivas has a lawyer yet who can speak on his behalf.
Police have identified the victim as 42-year-old Santino Eppinger.
They say Eppinger was at a bus stop when he became involved in an altercation with Rivas.
Police say Rivas allegedly stabbed Santino before fleeing the scene.
Santino was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police soon located Rivas and booked him into jail.
