SCW Posse has anniversary open house

The Sheriff’s Posse of Sun City West will celebrate its 40th anniversary with an open house 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at their headquarters building, 20450 North Stardust Blvd.

Several events are scheduled to take place on that day.

Various MCSO teams and equipment, including the K-9 unit, will be on hand to explain and demonstrate their various functions.

Arizona Fire & Medical Authority, which services the Sun City West community, will also display equipment and provide information relative to department activities.

Visits are expected from Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone, Maricopa County Supervisor Clint Hickman, Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, and other local, county and state dignitaries.

Posse departments will also provide visitors with information about services provided by the Posse, as well as give tours of the Posse facility.

Prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be served.
