UPDATE: Family members identify shooting victims in GoFundMe accounts, Facebook posts

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to a shooting around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Poplar and Myers streets, 10 miles northwest of the Loop 303 and Grand Avenue.

Authorities found three people dead at the scene, which MCSO described as a get-together involving alcohol.

A fundraising page from an uncle identifies Adrian Miramontes as one of the three shot and killed. He had just turned 22 and leaves behind a fiancé, a child, and the couple was expecting another baby.

His fiancé also lost her brother and father, Julio and Juan Rios, in the shooting.

MCSO identified and detained Hermelindo Guzman Sanchez at the residence, and then arrested him after officials determined he shot and killed the three deceased males.

He was booked into jail Friday on three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of endangerment.

No other details were immediately released.

The investigation is ongoing.

A car wash was held Saturday in Glendale.

A second car wash is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12 at the Taco Bell near 59th and Northern avenues.
