Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a hit and run after locating a man dead on the road in Litchfield Park this morning, according to a spokesman.

At about 4 a.m., Marciopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area south of Camelback Road on Dysart Road, where a black male in his 60s was located, Sgt. Calbert Gillett stated in an email.

The hit and run occurred in the northbound lane, Sgt. Gillett added.

Dysart Road between Indian School and Camelback roads is closed for several hours while detectives investigate.

MCSO is asking for the public’s help to try and locate the driver of the vehicle.

“We do not have a vehicle or suspect (description) at this time and if anyone saw anything please call the Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011,” according to MCSO.
