The Wednesday, Dec. 5 local district meeting for a portion of Glendale’s Yucca District has been canceled, the district’s councilwoman, Joyce Clark, announced Tuesday night on Twitter.
The meeting, set for 6 p.m. Wednesday in the cafeteria of Coyote Ridge Elementary School, was to include Yucca District residents from the areas from Bethany Home Road to Camelback Road and 75th Avenue and Grand Canal Linear Park, which is halfway between 83rd and 91st avenues. The area includes Bethany Point, Bethany Treasures, West Plaza I and II, Montebello and Missouri Park.
In an email newsletter before the meeting was canceled, Ms. Clark said she hoped residents of the area would tell her what is working in their neighborhoods, what is not working and any solutions they may want to propose to solve a problem.
The Yucca District is Glendale’s largest district, including areas as far north as Peoria Avenue and as far south as Camelback Road, as far east as 67th Avenue and as far west as city islands west of Loop 303.
Ms. Clark’s tweet did not include a reason for the cancellation. Check back with yourvalley.net for updates on whether the meeting will be rescheduled.
