Clark: Glendale in better position to profit from Super Bowl

Joyce Clark

Perhaps the biggest news of the year occurred this week. Glendale was chosen as the venue for the 2023 Super Bowl. I feel confident that when it occurs, Glendale is in a position to benefit financially. It is in a stronger position than ever before as more new hotels are built and as Westgate continues to grow and add more venues for tourists. I would also note that the environment among the major stakeholders — the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, the Cardinals and the city of Glendale — are stronger than they have ever been. I do expect Glendale to host its share of Super Bowl events.

Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend and please watch your children around water.
