Vestar and Tempe Marketplace announced their partnership with Waymo starting in September, which offers exclusive ride booking discounts to all visitors as part of the ASU Steals & Deals program.

This collaboration allows Vestar to offer opportunities to shoppers and visitors at the popular Tempe destination, aligning with Vestar’s mission to provide high service standards and entertainment to customers, a press release explained.

Additionally, Tempe Marketplace is eager to officially relaunch ASU Steals & Deals for students in the area.

Waymo has been developing its autonomous self driving vehicle systems since 2009 with the aim of becoming the world’s most trusted driver, the release detailed. This approach to ride-hailing provides a more sustainable and efficient mode of transportation, ensuring that all riders feel secure with each trip.

Kicking off this collaboration, ASU students are encouraged to take a Waymo to Tempe Marketplace; those who do will receive 25% off their first ride, the release stated. As the fall season approaches, guests can look forward to onsite promo codes from Waymo, free ride giveaways, complimentary lunches at Tempe Marketplace and more.

To celebrate the Waymo partnership, Tempe Marketplace is giving one lucky ASU student a chance to win a $1,000 dorm room makeover. The winner will receive a free round-trip Waymo ride to Tempe Marketplace along with a $1,000 shopping spree and lunch at the shopping district.

In conjunction with the relaunch of ASU Steals & Deals, Tempe Marketplace will offer a variety of deals throughout the school year from over 30 retailers.
