TruWest Credit Union will join credit union enthusiasts nationwide to mark I Love My Credit Union Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the many reasons community members love their credit unions, inspiring engaging and lively conversations about the impact of credit unions in the local community.
Each July, TruWest kicks off a major social media campaign to raise community awareness about the credit union movement, according to a press release.
This year, TruWest Credit Union is excited to enhance the July 26 celebration with special activities at their financial service centers where members can enjoy photo booths, balloons, snacks and treats while sharing their love for their credit union.
TruWest has eight Arizona branches located in Phoenix, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Gilbert and Scottsdale.
Jennifer Kimmel, chief experience officer of TruWest, said in the release that TruWest encourages all its members to contribute to their credit union wall and share selfies tagged with #TruWestCU and #ILoveMyCreditUnion.
“Let's create a vibrant and heartfelt display of our collective appreciation,” Kimmell stated.
Credit unions are not-for-profit organizations owned by their members, the release explained. They often offer lower fees, better interest rates, personalized service and ongoing financial education.
Credit unions also invest in local community development, supporting local causes and charities.
“Join the celebration, share your stories, and let’s make a meaningful impact together, inspired by our cooperative spirit,” Kimmel stated.
